Trust me, I use the term media loosely. Here are two videos for Tuesday's Glenn Beck show on FOXNews in which he again equates heath care reform and those who support it to Nazis and their policies.
They will not let this go. They will not let people have an intelligent debate on health care reform. They would rather throw insults and slurs rather than offer real solutions. They do not want a discussion on the issue. They want the issue to go away.
They try to accomplish that by scaring the unsuspecting, ignorant masses that tune in daily to listen to the Apostles of Rush spew lies and hate. It is appalling that they are allowed to call themselves journalists. Journalists report on fact. Beck and others like him do not. They run lie after unadulterated lie and feel no remorse for doing so and I think that it is morally reprehensible. They should be ashamed of themselves, but I doubt that will ever happen.
I think you're misunderstanding Glenn Beck's statements. I don't see him comparing anyone to Nazi's or calling people who support Obama's health care system Nazi's. He is trying to show people what can possibly happen when socialized healthcare is adopted before citizens realize what is happening and the system is allowed to spiral out of control. I don't think Beck has done anything wrong here, and all of his historical accounts are definitely true and factful. Obviously making comparisons to the National Socialist's heath care system of the past may be offensive to some, if in no other way that it's dramatic impact on what we now know happened in Nazi Germany during the 1930's and '40's. however I didn't once see him call anyone Nazi's for supporting health care reform. The issue I think he is trying to get people to see and understand is that when Hitler came to power, he passed laws that were introduced by the Nazi party which allowed the German government at that time to enact eugentics programs that eventually led to the holocaust and the deaths of millions of Jews and other handicapped or otherwise indigent people. I believe that what he is saying is that if we allow for the passing swift health care reform before we truly understand the impacts that these reforms may have on us, we could potentially cause a spirally effect that may eventually cripple the economy of the US. Again, everyone wants good health care, and I believe that is the desire of many Americans, but currently there is too much confusion, and when there is confusion of this magnitude, it is irresponsible to push forward toward quick reforms that cold damage or destroy us as a country. I'm certainly not a Nazi, but I also don't want any kind of major government reforms pushed upon me until I understand and agree with what it is trying to accomplish for all Americans. Right now, there are way too many people from all political backgrounds who don't know what is truly happening.
